Our body structure and ailments are all unique so we cannot say if it will work for everyone, however for the vast majority of our customers, they have reported that a TENS Machine is a long awaited welcome relief. TENS Machines work by placing the electrodes in certain areas around the area of pain which then sends electrical signals around that area. Your brain is more likely to feel the electrical signals instead of the pain. Will it cure the problem? TENS are used as pain relief and pain control. They are not a cure for the underlying cause of the pain. Please see your doctor to find out more.
No. Unlike pills or other chemicals which can alter or numb the brain senses, a TENS Machine uses a mild electrical current to simply block the pain signals before it enters the brain.
We recommend for first time users to start with 1-2hrs. Once you get used to the unit, then increase the hours to suit. Please note, majority of the units cannot to be used overnight during sleep, except for Paineze TENS Range.
In normal modes, it can be comparable to the feeling you get when you have "pins and needles". It is described as a mild tingling sensation in the area where the electrodes are placed. Eg. A person may have broken or sprained their wrist and is now experiencing throbbing pain. After placing the TENS electrodes around that area, the user may may replace that feeling of throbbing pain to a feeling of a gentle tingling sensation. The intensity can be controlled by the user to suit his/her needs.
The TENS & NMS models we sell are battery powered or rechargeable, like a mobile phone or IPod Shuffle. These are a much preferred option as it makes the unit very portable. Battery operation times can last over a day of continuous use. To improve battery life, we suggest you use rechargeable batteries as they can last longer and are much more economical in the long run. ActivBody, SportsMed, SportsMed Pro, ActivNatal and InControl units have a rechargeable battery which is actually the same battery of an Ipod shuffle. A rechargeable adaptor is included in your pack (Australian plug only).

How long does it take to get shipped? When items are in stock and payment is confirmed, your order is shipped. Although it is normal to receive your items within the next 2 business days of your order, please allow up to 4 business days in case of delays within Australia Post. Also some rural areas may take an extra day.
Has my order been shipped yet as I am waiting for it You will get an email notification when your order is shipped and will receive it within 2 business days. In some cases, the package may not fit in the mail box. In this case the mailman is required to leave a notification note advising you to pick it up at your local post office. You could also try calling your local post office to see if they have it there. In any case, after 2 days please contact us and we will gladly contact Australia Post and chase it up for you.
